Quilt Designs and a Quilting Class

Designing a quilt for Fabric Trends has to be one of the most fun things I did in 2010 (see post here).  What a thrill to have a quilt pattern published in such an awesome magazine!

I played around with several different designs before settling on the one I submitted.  Here are a few of the designs that I did not submit, and a few that I have created recently.  All of these use my Wild World fabrics.  I've had so much fun working on these!

I really like these next two.  Ashley, from Film in the Fridge, created two quilts for me using my California Dreamin' line, and I really loved the way the long strips showed off the fabrics.  Inspired by her brilliant use of fabrics, I have used some long strips in the two designs below.

I would really love to see these brought to life!  And who knows, maybe I can do it myself?  I'm taking a quilting class at Memphis College of Art starting February 5th.  I see such gorgeous work out there from so many talented quilters.  I can't wait to learn and get started on my first quilt!  I'll keep you posted on my progress!
