"Quiltsurround" by Greely Myatt
There are tons of things to see and do if you find yourself here in Memphis, but this public art exhibit is an absolute must-see! Created by Sculptor and University of Memphis professor Greely Myatt, these "quilts" are installed at the southwest corner of City Hall in downtown Memphis.

To create the installation, Greely used about 700 street signs that the city was about to recycle. Breathtakingly cool-- don't you agree?

I love everything about these quilts! You can read more about this amazing project here.

UPDATE: Since I posted this, I came across this great interview with Greely at Live From Memphis. He discusses the work and shows some of his process!
